This project acquired conservation easements for portions of the Ormond Beach wetlands. In June 2006, the Nature Conservancy completed purchase, with state funding, of 275 acres formerly owned by the Metropolitan Water District (MWD).
Grant to Malibu Coastal Land Conservancy for removal of an at-grade (or Arizona) crossing over Malibu Creek at Cross Creek Road, within Malibu Creek State Park. Conduct an Army Corps of Engineers feasibility study for management of the Upper Malibu Creek watershed. The feasibility study is evaluating options for extensive restoration and enhancement of riparian and aquatic systems above Malibu Lagoon, including the possible removal of Rindge Dam, located about 3 miles upstream from the lagoon.
Laureles Canyon in the City of Tijuana Mexico drains into Goat Canyon and the Tijuana River National Estuarine Research Reserve (TRNERR) in the United States.
