After 20 years of work to preserve the land formerly known as Banning Ranch, the property closed escrow and is now in public ownership. It is called the Randall Preserve and title is held by the Mountains Recreation and Conservation Authority (MRCA). This protection allows the land to undergo planning, including a restoration plan. The Banning Ranch Conservancy (BRC) will work in partnership with MRCA to complete a Wetland Feasibility Study for tidal wetlands.
