The Agua Hedionda Lagoon Foundation (AHLF) developed and constructed 12 educational signs for display around Agua Hedionda Lagoon. The signs discuss the ecological significance and workings of the lagoon. In addition, AHLF designed and constructed three educational displays for the new Agua Hedionda Lagoon Discovery Center. These displays encompass three areas of study – biology of the lagoon, cultural history and archeology of the lagoon, and current uses of the lagoon. Agua Hedionda Lagoon is located in the City of Carlsbad in northern San Diego County. It supports over 300 acres of wetland and aquatic habitat. The project will complement efforts to restore and enhance wetland and aquatic resources in the lagoon.
